Ylläs
Lapland, Finland
Ylläs is a ski resort in Finnish Lapland, centred around the villages of Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi. The ski area offers around 63km of pistes and Finland’s largest vertical drop, with modern lifts and wide open terrain. Skiing is best suited to beginners and intermediates, though some steeper slopes exist.
Snow reliability is extremely high due to Arctic conditions. The resort is spread out and quieter than Levi, with a strong focus on nature and outdoor experiences. Ylläs is particularly known for cross-country skiing, northern lights and its peaceful environment.
